Here’s How Shay Mitchell Shared Pregnancy News With ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Cast
Shay Mitchell announced her pregnancy a month ago. Sasha Pieterse – who is known best for her role as Alison DiLaurentis in Pretty Little Liars – recently dished on her co-star’s pregnancy. Shay broke the news to her former PLL cast before going public.
Speaking to US Weekly, Sasha noted that she and the other members of the Pretty Little Liars cast knew Mitchell was trying to get pregnant.
“She kept it very, very, very, very secret. We knew that she was trying, but we weren’t sure until she told us.”
According to the 32-year-old actress, Shay Mitchell spilled the beans on her pregnancy in a private manner to the entire cast at the same time.
Pieterse told US Weekly she excitedly awaits watching her co-star become a mother. She believes Shay will be “amazing” at it. The PLL star acknowledged how exciting it was to watch her co-star go through the stages of wanting to be a mother.
She added: “She’s always been so independent and so strong and confident and I think that’s exactly what she is going to bring to the table with her kids. I think it’s so special and she’s just got such a big heart so that baby is loved already.”

A month ago, Mitchell broke the news of her pregnancy. The actress shared a topless snapshot on Instagram on June 28th as she jested in the comments about being able to drive in the carpool lane. In a month, her fans liked the post just shy of five million times. They also flooded the comments with congratulations and compliments.
Shay Mitchell is expecting her first child with her Canadian actor boyfriend, Matte Babel. As fans know, the duo has been dating for over two years now.
