Hannah Brown Admits She Originally Misjudged Tyler C. For Being a Ladies Man, Feelings Have Changed Post Fantasy Suite
Hannah Brown has not been the best judge of character on The Bachelorette. She gave Luke P her first impression rose, kept him around until fantasy suites and also didn’t dig deeper when Jed admitted he initially came on the show to promote his music career.

Tyler C. is one of the most upstanding men in the house who has remained drama-free the entire season. Yet, up until their overnight date in Crete, Hannah viewed Tyler as a major player or as she puts it, a total F*** boy. Hannah voiced her initial concerns to Cameron on their first one-on-one date. It turns out that isn’t the case at all. He assured her that he was there for her and only her. Here is what he told her.
“I think I’m really at a point where I’m really accepting of who I am and ready to give myself to somebody else. To be honest, I almost didn’t come here. I almost stepped away. My pops almost died like two months before I came out here. He got really sick and he was in the hospital for like 25 days, he was in a coma for like 10 days, it was tough. I had to sign away his rights and send him away for surgery. It was like the hardest thing I ever went through in my life. I really didn’t even want to come, but then like my pops kind of started recovering, had a successful surgery, every day I’m with him, doing everything I can to make him better.
Tyler C used to watch the show with his dad. He told him that Hannah was his girl. He joined the show for Hannah, not the experience. His dad helped him to make that difficult decision.
Prior to offering Tyler the fantasy suite keycard, Hannah made it clear to Cameron that she wanted to focus on progressing their emotional connection, not their physical. Cameron was happy to remain a gentleman, be respectful of Hannah and not take advantage of her sexually. This was important to her. They got to know each other on a totally different level.

Hannah Brown’s feelings towards Tyler C. have changed post-fantasy suite
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Lauren Zima from the day the Men Tell All All episode was filmed, Hannah revealed she got Tyler all wrong initially. She shared, “I think for a long time with Tyler I thought it was just physical. I put him in a box and was scared of him and thought it was just going to be physical with him. And then as we started having more one-on-ones together and time I started realizing that it was more but he scared me a lot because I thought he was a f***boy. I did. And then it was like ‘Oh wait, maybe he’s not, maybe he’s not.’ Then after our fantasy suite, I was like ‘I cannot let this guy go.’ It just killed me that I felt that I had put up walls for so long.”
She did keep him around after that, but unless you read spoilers, you won’t know how long he lasts.
The Alabama native admitted, “In that moment, I thought that it was just one thing, when there was a lot more layers to it,” she said. “I think I was just… how dare I put a guy in a box that he should not be [in].” Ultimately, Hannah concluded, “He’s a great guy.” The fans would have to agree with her. They are even hoping he ends up cast as The Bachelor. Everyone is going to have to wait and see how this season ends.
Hannah B talks more about Tyler
That ET interview wasn’t the first time that Hannah discussed her misconceptions of Tyler C. During a May interview for The Ben & Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, Hannah admitted she judged Tyler based on his appearance. Ashley Iaconetti told Hannah, “[After] everyone looked at those [cast] pictures initially, everyone was talking about Tyler C. He looks like an ‘f-boy.'” Just because he looks like one doesn’t mean he is one.
After agreeing, Hannah divulged, “I will say he didn’t talk to me the first night and I was like ‘OK. He’s good-looking.’ And then when he didn’t talk to me the first night, I was like, ‘You’re on my freaking radar.'” In Hannah’s defense, she didn’t get to talk to eight of the men. Finding out Scott had a girlfriend took up a lot of her time. Because of this, Tyler’s looks were part of what helped him stick around at first.
