Duggar: Jessa Seewald Gets Mom-Shamed Once Again
Members of the Duggar family are often under fire. They face a lot of backlash for their social media posts and how they raise their children. This is likely because they have such a large audience. There will always be someone who disagrees with them.
Most recently, Jessa Duggar Seewald is the one being mom-shamed. This isn’t the first time this has happened for the mom of three. Jessa and Ben Seewald are the parents of Spurgeon, Henry, and Ivy. Since Ivy’s birth, Jessa has been sharing cute pictures and updates about the newest addition.
In her recent post, Jessa shares a cute photo of Ivy taking a pacifier in the car. In her caption, she writes, “I pretty much only give her a pacifier for car rides, so she’s not super good at taking it— but every time it goes in her mouth, she puts both little fists up on her cheeks like this.”

Plenty of fans are leaving positive comments about the sweet picture. Fans say that Ivy looks a lot like Spurgeon. Some also think she looks like Jinger Duggar Vuolo’s daughter Felicity. It’s safe to say that Ivy is a Duggar baby.
Jessa Duggar Seewald is mom-shamed
In response to this post, Jessa is receiving backlash from some of her Instagram followers. In the comments, fans are offering her parenting advice and telling her what she is doing wrong. Many of the users who are commenting are saying that Jessa needs to give Ivy a pacifier.
One fan comments, “It’s very important for babies to have one. It’s how they learn to self soothe. Suckling is important for their brain development. Less anxiety and an overall better rounded person in the long run. I’ve never understood people who don’t use them.Why neglect your child? The very first stage of child abuse/neglect? Why not give them every opportunity to succeed?”
Another fan says, “Pacis are part of safe sleep, so it’s recommended to give them for sleeping”. One fan is worrying about the type of pacifier that Jessa gives Ivy. Their comment reads, “Be careful with the ones with animals attached. The weight of it once she has any teeth will pull on her teeth forward”.
One fan notices something different than the rest and writes, “She’s cute but probably REALLY HOT with that huge thing in her head”.

On social media, it seems like Jessa can’t escape the criticism. She seems confident in her parenting abilities. It doesn’t look like this mom-shaming is going to stop her from sharing sweet posts about her kids. Fortunately, Jessa does get some encouragement from some of her fans in the comments.
