Duggar: Will Jill Return To ‘Counting On’ Without Derick?
On May 26, Jessa Duggar Seewald gave birth to her third child, Ivy Jane. Just this week, the news broke that there would be a Counting On birth special titled “A Baby Girl for Jessa”. Currently, the show is not airing new episodes. This birth special comes as a bit of a surprise.
Another surprise is that Jill Duggar Dillard was also a big part of the special. She appears in the special multiple times and plays a major role. Duggar fans will recall that Jill is a midwife and has assisted with births in the past. It just makes sense that she would be there while her sister gave birth.

Throughout the birth special, Jill is often seen in front of the camera. She continued to provide updates as Jessa was in labor. At one point, she told the camera that she thought Jessa would deliver in a little bit. Because she was assisting Jessa, she appeared multiple times throughout the birth special.
Since Jill’s husband Derick was fired from Counting On in late 2017, their family hasn’t appeared on the show. This was a result of Derick making transphobic comments about Jazz Jennings on Twitter. He has been known to get himself in trouble on social media in the past.
Could Jill Duggar Dillard be returning to Counting On?
Since her husband was fired from the TLC show, Jill decided to quit as well. Since then, her fans have had to keep up with her via social media instead of on the show. Now that she has returned to the show for the birth special, fans are wondering if she will make a comeback.
Because Jill quit as a result of Derick’s firing, it seems like she won’t come back unless he does. Based on his past record with TLC, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be allowed back on the show.
It seems like Jill played such a big role in Ivy’s birth because of her background as a midwife. This could have also been because some of the family members were out of town. Jessa needed Jill’s assistance. It wasn’t possible for Jill to be cut out of the birth special completely, but TLC definitely wanted to air a birth special.
Right now, it’s not clear whether this was a one-time appearance for Jill or if she will be on the show regularly. It’s possible that she wouldn’t rejoin the show unless Derick was allowed to as well.

I would love jill back on counting on but NOT Derrick. One is entitled to their own viewpoint but celebrities should not be running down people publicly. Shameful
would love to see Jill back on and if Derrick is included that is ok too. No body is perfect.
So want both of them to return they r really great people.
They as a family decided they didn’t want to film anymore. It can’t alway be fun having camera’s around. Jesse family weren’t filmed either except for this birth episode. I’m sure if it’s joint family filming they will be filmed.
