The Bachelor stars Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham recently became parents. The baby was born last week. Shortly after her birth, Arie and Lauren shared a photo and announced her name, Alessi Ren. She is the couple’s first child together.
Since she was born The Bachelor stars have been sharing updates about their new addition. Arie seems to be obsessed with his daughter. In a recent Instagram post, he wrote, “Fatherhood is the best. I think my heart just grew two sizes.” Based on what the couple has had to say so far about their little one, they are absolutely thrilled to be parents.
Lauren Burnham went to lunch with a friend
On Wednesday, Lauren posted a picture on Instagram. The picture featured Lauren alongside her sister, Heather Burnham. In her caption, she wrote, “First time out of the house without Alessi and I only cried one time. I’d say it’s a win.”
In response to this photo, The Bachelor fans left negative comments about Lauren’s decision to leave her baby with her mom for a little while. They didn’t think that Alessi should be away from her parents yet. One follower wrote, “Wow you left her faster than anyone I know. Must of been for a good occasion.”
Fortunately, some fans left positive and encouraging comments, cheering Lauren on. They agreed that she needed to get out of the house for just a little while. According to Arie, this was only a 45-minute lunch.
The Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk Jr. defends Lauren
Arie came to the rescue! He left a comment on Lauren’s post that reads,
“To all the negative comments regarding leaving her with grandma for a 45min lunch, cut her some slack! It was my idea because she has been working so hard to keep up and quite frankly I commend her for 1. Being an incredible mom and getting the breast-feeding down enough to make sure she had enough while she was at lunch. (Moms know that breast-feeding can be difficult) and 2. So much of being a good parent is making sure you take care of yourself. She wanted a healthy meal with her sister who is in town. I get so frustrated at the comments because she is such a kind soul and takes these comments to heart. Be kind people! … You’re doing great momma.”
