In response to this photo, The Bachelor fans left negative comments about Lauren’s decision to leave her baby with her mom for a little while. They didn’t think that Alessi should be away from her parents yet. One follower wrote, “Wow you left her faster than anyone I know. Must of been for a good occasion.”

Fortunately, some fans left positive and encouraging comments, cheering Lauren on. They agreed that she needed to get out of the house for just a little while. According to Arie, this was only a 45-minute lunch.

Arie came to the rescue! He left a comment on Lauren’s post that reads,

“To all the negative comments regarding leaving her with grandma for a 45min lunch, cut her some slack! It was my idea because she has been working so hard to keep up and quite frankly I commend her for 1. Being an incredible mom and getting the breast-feeding down enough to make sure she had enough while she was at lunch. (Moms know that breast-feeding can be difficult) and 2. So much of being a good parent is making sure you take care of yourself. She wanted a healthy meal with her sister who is in town. I get so frustrated at the comments because she is such a kind soul and takes these comments to heart. Be kind people! … You’re doing great momma.”

  1. It doesn’t matter what we “the public” think. They are the parents and it is their choice. SMH

  2. When my son was born, I did not want to go anywhere. My friends said I was getting myself in a rut, but I didn’t think so. All I wanted to do was to be with my precious son.

  3. Oh please!! There is nothing wrong with leaving your new baby with it’s Grandma for a little while. For heaven’s sakes – get a life!! And I’m sure Grandma was delighted and so good for Alessi to be able to start bonding with her Grandma. My grandchildren are all grown up now but they remember vividly all the fun and meaningful times we had with their Grandpa and me when they were little and it started in infancy.

  4. Oh my gosh why are so many people so quick to judge she didn’t leave the child alone for goodness sakes she left the child with its grandma whats wrong with that get a life people really

  5. Don’t you know you shouldn’t bottle feed for a while even with mamas breast milk. It’s called nipple confusion. If you don’t want negative feedback stop posting your whole life. It’s time to move on from Bachelor and just live your lives privately.

  6. I can’t believe this is even being discussed for heaven’s sake! She had a baby – that doesn’t mean her life has to end! People need to back off. I bet the baby even survived an hour away from her Mama! What a concept.

  7. I really do believe that people make a moutain of a mole hill but as the saying goes, “if you give people the need to talk, they will talk…..that said, why do they have to share every little detail on social media. Of course there is goin to be back lash
