‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star James Kennedy Dishes on Renewed Friendship with Lala Kent
Vanderpump Rules might have wrapped up their seventh season last week on Bravo, but does the drama ever end for the cast? James Kennedy’s recent interviews say no. James, girlfriend Raquel Leviss and frenemies Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright all recently attended an event together in L.A. Gathered for World Dog Day, The event was organized by Lisa Vanderpump to promote an end to the dog meat trade in Asia.
The four argued fiercely during the reunion, but when E.T. spoke to Jax, he was all apologies. Brittany made jokes about their immature behavior. “We can act like adults,” Brittany said. “Might not have looked like it at the reunion, but we can, I swear.” The Vanderpump Rules reunion did get pretty wild.
James is “Sick of” Being Told He Doesn’t Belong
James wasn’t as apologetic as Jax and Brittany. He defended his place on the show and his friendships with some cast members. Co-star and ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute spent a lot of time during the reunion attacking James. The less-than-friendly behavior he received at the reunion prompted James to say he was “sick of” being told he doesn’t deserve a seat the reunion.
James cited his close friendships with Tom Sandoval, Ariana Madix and Scheana Shay. He said, “I’m also [Lisa’s son], Max Vanderpump’s, best friend. I mean, it goes further than this show, it’s my life. So, I’m sick of it.”
Friendly with Lala Kent
Longtime viewers of Vanderpump Rules remember when James and Lala Kent were thick as thieves and bullying Katie together. They eventually had a falling out over James constantly insulting Lala’s boyfriend, Randall Emmett.
During Season 6, Lala was considering giving their friendship another try, but chose her friendship with the Katie/Kristen/Stassi Schroeder clique instead. Their exchanges at the reunion were tense, to say the least.
Well, that’s all changed, according to James. He told ET, “Lala’s reached out. We’re chatting, we’re texting and hopefully gonna meet up for lunch maybe this coming week and catch up a little bit in person.”
In more surprising news, Raquel revealed that Lala had reached out to her, as well. The Lala/Raquel feud gave us the best comeback in Bravo history when Lala called Raquel a “Bambi-eyed b***c” during an argument at SUR. Maybe Raquel will be a bridesmaid in Lala’s 2020 wedding. Lala Kent of Vanderpump Rules Goes Blonde
Lala has been slowly changing her hair from brown to blonde for her wedding day. She posted a new photo on her Instagram that shows her hair at the lightest shade of blonde so far.

Season 7 of Vanderpump Rules just ended, but fans are already looking ahead to Season 8. Jax and Brittany get married. Raquel debuts as a waitress at SUR, putting her right in the middle of the action. Tune in to Bravo for some of their other reality shows during the Vanderpump Rules break.
