Derick Dillard Acts As If He Settled For Jill Duggar
Derick Dillard is known for living on the edge when it comes to what he says on social media. In the past, this has gotten the former Counting On star in trouble. One tweet even got he and his wife, Jill Duggar, kicked off Counting On.
Now, he is using his platform once again. He and Jill Duggar have their own family blog. Usually, this features recipes and family photos. This time, Derick Dillard decided to write a post called “Confessions of a Christ-Seeking Millennial”.
In the post, he talks about taking risks as a Christian. He highlights some of the risks he has taken over the years, including marrying Jill Duggar, going back to school, and having kids.
Later on, he talks about how people are always searching for “the one”. Then, he explains,
“If you’re married (to a Christian or not), “the one” is always going to be who you are married to. My ‘one’ is always Jill Michelle Dillard. If you aren’t married, don’t wait for a perfect person because you’ll just die single.”
Since it was posted, fans have interpreted this as Derick Dillard saying he settled for Jill Duggar to avoid dying single. He makes it sound as if she isn’t “a perfect person” for him. Even though he says that his wife is his “one”, not all fans think this should be taken as a compliment.
Derick Dillard has yet to come out and deny anything. Jill Duggar hasn’t addressed this particular blog post either. She did share it to her followers on Instagram though.
Is Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar’s marriage okay?
Because of Derick Dillard’s statement, fans are wondering how the couple is doing. This comes after other concerns about a potential divorce. An actual divorce is pretty unlikely due to the couple’s marriage covenant.
As of right now, the couple seems to be okay. This is especially true on social media. They both post about each other often and seem to go on a lot of dates together. Of course, it’s hard to say what goes on behind the scenes.

With Derick Dillard getting the family booted off Counting On and his comment about settling for Jill Duggar, there may be some tension in their home. Neither of them makes it seem like this is a big deal though so maybe Jill Duggar is used to it by now.

I am sure he meant nothing of the sort you are talking about. He just meant if your married, just stop looking. They are a committed couple who seem the most suited for each other.
